Equipment

  • Standing Mixer or Hand Mixer (optional)
  • Rolling Pin
  • Piping bag (you can use a ziploc bag if you don't have one)
  • Large Star Tip (optional)
  • Parchment Paper
  • Food Processor (optional)
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Cookie Cutter (shape of your choice)

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Cups Flour

Frosting

  • 1 Container Original Cool Whip (defrosted in refrigerator)
  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 1 Drop Black Food Coloring (optional)
  • 1 container Fresh Raspberries (Washed and dried)

Garnish

  • Oreo cookie crumbles
  • Black and White edible Pearls

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 Degrees F.
  • In a standing mixer, or with a hand mixer, whip Butter.
  • Add Powdered Sugar and mix well.
  • Add Flour and mix till dough just starts to come together. Remove from bowl and form dough by hand on lightly floured workspace.
  • Using a rolling pin roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut out cookies. I used a flower cookie cutter to try and make it look as much like the movie as possible.
  • Bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheet for 12 mins.
  • Let cookies cool completely before using!
  • Meanwhile prepare frosting.
  • Crush Oreos to a fine powder in food processor. (if you don't have a food processor you can crush Oreos in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin.)
  • In a large bowl mix cool whip, crushed Oreos, and one drop of black food coloring for a more grey appearance. (The food coloring is completely optional).
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap and keep Grey stuff refrigerated until ready for use.
  • Layout cookies and place a fresh raspberry in the center of each one. (make sure raspberries as pre washed and completely dried).
  • Fill piping bag that has a large star frosting tip with Grey stuff and pipe onto cookies. (If you don't have a piping bag and star tip you can use a ziplock bag and cut a corner off the bag to pipe grey stuff onto cookies. It just wont have as nice of a swirl.)
  • Garnish with cookie crumbles and edible grey and white pearls and enjoy!

Notes

You can simplify this recipe even further by using pre-made or store bought sugar cookies (or shortbread cookies). No judgment here!
